We’ve been busy bringing out digital know-how and creative energy to bear for Globus Metal Powders, a specialist in high-performance, ultra-low oxygen metal powders.
The company, which has a manufacturing facility in Middlesbrough, produces metal powders for advanced manufacturing processes in powder metallurgy – hot isostatic pressing (PM-HIP), additive manufacturing, metal injection moulding and thermal spray.
Comprised of a team of metallurgists, materials scientists, process engineers, and quality specialists, it is currently expanding its presence in sectors such as aerospace, defence, energy and marine – and it needed a digital presence that would support its growth ambitions.
Working closely with the Globus Metal Powders team, we enhanced the company’s website with a rejuvenated visual style, re-shaped the user journey and built-in additional functionality. The result is a platform that more effectively showcases its technical capabilities and solutions, and is shaped around the needs of the firm’s target audiences.
We’ve also developed an SEO strategy to support Globus Metal Powders’ ongoing marketing activities.
Horizon Works first met Globus Metal Powders – a fellow Make UK Defence member – through the Make UK Defence Fit Programme. We undertook a marketing healthcheck with Globus Metal Powders, which analysed the company’s marketing activities and channels, and provided a suite of recommendations for its team to take forward.
Our relationship has strengthened since then – and this project has been a fantastic example of member-to-member collaboration within the Make UK Defence community.
